Foam features
Non-toxic
Expanded foam is safe material, which is approved also to touch food. No sc. freons are used during production. Pentane used as release agent is harmless to the atmosphere and there is no dangerous materials or gases in the material to health. The products are non-toxic, scentless and dustless, and they do not contain loose fibres.
Preparation
The complicated structures and the millimetre precise measurements sets tight demands for the producing equipment.
The pre-expanded pearls are supplied to the electronical and fully automated machine mould, where they are attached to the final product with pressure and steam. The part that is expanded in the mould will have an excellent surface quality.
EPP and EPE parts are handled with heat in the oven, where the pressure inside the plastic pearls becomes stable and the products are set to their final measures. The EPS-products are ready immediately after detaching from the mould.
Recycling
Foam products can be recycled in many different ways at the end of the product life cycle. It can be roughed and reused in the manufacture of packaging and insulation panels, or it can be mixed with aerated concrete products. By mixing the crushed foam into the soil, you get a fluffy substrate or material that helps drain the water.
Burning
Recycling is not always the most economical and environmentally friendly solution. In this case the energy recovery or burning is the best alternative. Burning foam in high enough temperature or when mixed with other waste, you can get a high temperature value and decrease the emissions of the waste burning. In the land fill foams are a stable and non-toxic waste.
